Good Friday

Abandonment | Shame | Suffering

Tonight, we are going to explore these three topics. Feel free to navigate them in the way most helpful to you. Move with them, write with them, be with them in whatever way your body, mind, and heart point you toward.

Abandonment.

In what ways have you been abandoned?

In what ways have you abandoned?

What is your culture abandoning?

Shame.

In what ways have you encountered shame?

In what ways have you shamed?

What is your culture shaming?

Suffering.

In what ways have you suffered?

In what ways have you imparted suffering?

What is your culture causing to suffer?

Good Friday reveals two paths: to sentence to death or to die to ourselves.

To dam the river or to join the watershed.

To manipulate the ecosystem or to become a part of it.

The other is bonded to the I in the universal experience of abandonment, suffering, and shame. We can play the game of how and when and what to impart those traits onto, or we can respond in love to the universality of those experiences and turn toward.

What might it look like to turn toward the other?
